The Talk with Australia Panel

Connect with your Customers

Consumer impressions are constantly changing. Business is continually accelerating and evolving, requiring companies to deliver new products and services to the marketplace faster than ever before. To keep pace, you need to understand the dynamics of these events - how your customers think and what they react to. To meet that goal, Ipsos and I-view have created an innovative online research tool that offers real-time direct access to Australian consumer insights. The tool is a time-sensitive and cost effect online methodology to answer your information needs, while keeping you in touch with your consumers.

What is the Talk with Australia Panel?

The Talk with Australia panel is a panel of 3,000 general population residents, roughly representative to the Australian population. Short surveys can be launched within 24 hours notice, with top line responses available immediately. You can watch in real-time as your completes roll-in.

The panel is available for use on a client by client basis. Contact us now for a quote to conduct your own research study using the Talk with Australia panel.

Here's just some of the information we have learnt from the panel:

  • Over half of Australians (55%) thought Barack Obama being elected as first US president was the top international news story of 2008.
  • Fully one-third (33%) of Australians thought the drought was the biggest news story in Australia in 2008, followed by 28% who thought Kevin Rudd's apology to the Stolen Generation was.
  • 87% of Australians agree (either strongly or somewhat) that people should consciously restrict their water in the long term, even if there is no drought. However, only 52% agree that there should be permanent restrictions on water use, even if there is no drought.
  • In general, parents (70%) are thought to be the most responsible for childhood obesity.
  • 70% of Australians are on a social networking site of some sort, with Facebook (52%) and MSN (37%) the number one choices.

And what do our panelists have to say?

  • I enjoy receiving my invitations, giving my answers and think there's been a very interesting array of topics.
  • Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion.
  • I think it is a very good venue of gathering public opinion about different topics.
  • The surveys cover a wide range of topics, are well designed and easy to answer.
  • I like the surveys because they are relevant to everyday living and the instructions are clear and unambiguous.
